Meaghan Shanahan
Meaghan grew up in Bowie, Maryland, just outside of Washington, DC. During her undergraduate studies at Marywood University in Scranton, PA, she studied abroad on the Semester at Sea program. Visiting 10 ports on the round-the-world voyage gave her an incurable case of the travel bug. After teaching elementary students with special needs for two years in Maryland, Meaghan moved to Seoul, South Korea where she taught English for two years and traveled around Asia. She is incredibly excited to visit Morocco, her twenty-eighth country.
Sophia Kwong
Sophia completed her undergraduate degrees in English and Spanish at the University of Texas in Austin. After graduating, she spent two years working as a student advisor at an international school, meeting students from different countries and cultures. After hearing about their stories and experiences, she quit her job and spent a year teaching English in Argentina. Her Latin American travels have brought her to the tropical rainforests of Costa Rica, Mayan ruins in Central America, the colorful coral reefs in the Caribbean gulf, and the Salt Flats of Bolivia. She is super pumped to visit Morocco - her first time in Africa or the Middle East!
